Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is discussing the possibility of a new telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump regarding the revision of US tariffs on Brazilian goods, CNN Brasil reports, citing its sources.

According to them, the Brazilian leader intends to speed up negotiations on tariff revisions. Earlier, on November 12, Brazilian Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also agreed to hold a personal meeting. The negotiations will take place in Washington on November 13.

The US imposed tariffs on Brazilian goods in August. The Brazilian president promised to respond in kind, but later ordered a negotiated settlement of the tariffs.
