The United States will ease sanctions against Syria

According to information published on the website of the US Treasury Department, the United States will ease sanctions and export controls against Syria.

The department noted that the transfer of most basic civilian goods, as well as software and technology produced in the United States, to or within Syria was permitted without a license.

On November 10, it was reported that US President Donald Trump started negotiations with the head of the Syrian Transitional Region Ahmed al-Sharaa at the White House.

Al-Sharaa, whose supporters overthrew the government of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad late last year, has tried to convince Trump to lift economic restrictions on the country, arguing that they no longer serve any purpose.
