A weak magnetic storm has begun on Earth

On November 10, a weak magnetic storm was recorded on Earth, which may intensify on November 11 and 12. The representative of the Institute of Applied Geophysics informed TASS about this.

"In the second half of November 10, a violation of the Earth's magnetic field was recorded in high latitudes. It is currently weak, but will gradually move to mid-latitudes and may strengthen significantly tomorrow or the next day. This is related to the strongest X-class flare on the Sun," said the representative of the institute.

Earlier, the institute reported that on November 10, at 12:19 Moscow time, a high-level X1.2 flare was recorded in the sunspot group 4274 (N23W14) on the Sun, which lasted for 41 minutes.
