New Delhi and Moscow are preparing an agreement to protect the rights of Indian workers in Russia, which is expected to be signed at the annual Indo-Russian summit in December, the Economic Times reported.
India and Russia are expected to sign an agreement on labor migration at their annual summit in New Delhi next month, designed to protect the rights of the growing number of Indian workers in Russia. This agreement will contribute to the growth of the number of Indians in Russia in the coming years," the newspaper said.
They noted that Russia is seeking to increase the number of Indians in its workforce by hiring workers from India in sectors such as construction and textiles, and that Russia is also seeing a growing demand for skilled mechanical engineering and electronics professionals.
