The Philippines faces the threat of a stronger typhoon

The Philippines faces the threat of another devastating typhoon. Let's remind that the country has not yet recovered from the devastation of typhoon Kalmaeg. A few days ago, a strong storm killed 200 people.

The expected storm, Phung-wong, known locally as Uwan, is forecast to strengthen into a super typhoon, reaching speeds of at least 185 km/h, the BBC reports.

Officials say Typhoon Phung-wong could be even stronger than its predecessor, Kalmaeg, which hit the country on Tuesday. According to the Philippine Meteorological Service (Pagasa), the storm will be accompanied by heavy rains. It can cause life-threatening dangers.
