Grandmaster Shant Sargsyan advanced to the third round of the 2025 FIDE Chess World Cup. Shant gained a 2.5:1.5 advantage over Peru's Grandmaster George Corey in the rapid chess tie-break.
Grandmaster Gabriel Sargsyan also made it to the third round. Gabriel gained a 3:1 advantage over Grandmaster Maxim Rodstein representing Israel in the rapid chess tie-break.
Earlier, Grandmaster Robert Hovhannisyan also received the right to play in the third round of the World Cup.
