The British military has announced the delay in the delivery of "Ajax" armored vehicles

The British military announced eight years late the first delivery of "Ajax" armored vehicles, the Guardian newspaper reports, referring to the country's Deputy Minister of Defense Luke Pollard.

According to the publication, the deliveries of Ajax were initially planned to start in 2017, but the deadline was postponed until July 2020. The newspaper writes that during the presentation of these armored vehicles in 2020, too much noise was found in Ajax.

The tests were halted after 11 servicemen were placed under long-term medical supervision due to reports of hearing loss.

In total, the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain has ordered 589 "Ajax" armored vehicles and their modifications, the full delivery of which is expected to be completed by the end of the current decade.
