The European Commission will allocate an additional 103 million euros to Greece for the needs related to the reception of asylum seekers, announced the European Commissioner for Security and Migration, Magnus Brunner.
"Greece will also receive an additional 103 million euros in funding under the AMIF (Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund - ed.) to meet needs related to the implementation of the Agreement on Migration and Asylum, including improving reception conditions."
The European Commissioner said this in response to the questions of the members of the European Parliament, as reported by the Greek news agency AMNA.
Brunner also noted that since 2015, the European Union has allocated more than five billion euros to Greece for issues related to migration.
