The US Air Force Boeing RC-135U reconnaissance plane, which had earlier taken off from the UK base, flew over the Black Sea and returned to European airspace after making a U-turn near Sochi, according to data from the Flightradar24 internet portal.
According to the flight path, the Boeing RC-135U took off from its base in Mildenhall, UK, flew over the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania, then flew over the Black Sea, passing over Crimea and turning back to Sochi, heading in the opposite direction.
As of 3:55 Moscow time on Tuesday, the reconnaissance plane had crossed the border between the Czech Republic and Germany and was continuing its flight over German territory.
