13-year-old Armenian chess player Tigran Hambardzumyan was declared the champion of the open blitz chess tournament held within the framework of the European Youth and Girls Championship. This was announced by the Chess Federation of Armenia.

288 chess players from 40 countries participated in the tournament, without age restrictions, where Tigran scored 8 points out of 9 possible.
