The border guard service of Belarus received an official notification from the state border guard service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Lithuania that the government of that country adopted a decision on October 29, 2025 "On the restriction and suspension of crossing the state border of the Republic of Lithuania", reports the correspondent of the "Minsk-Novosti" agency, referring to the state border guard service.
The document imposes restrictions on the movement of people and vehicles through the Medininka (Kamenni Log) checkpoint until December 1, 2025, at 01:00 Minsk time.
The agency also clarified that these restrictions do not apply to persons holding diplomatic or official passports of the Republic of Lithuania or carrying diplomatic mail, persons traveling with a facilitated transit document issued in accordance with Council Regulation (EC) No. 693/2003 of April 14, 2003 on establishing a special facilitated transit document (FDT), Lithuanian citizens returning to the Republic of Lithuania and their family members.
