Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is discussing the Ukrainian settlement issue with Western leaders, and it will be raised with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz during a meeting scheduled in Ankara at the end of October, the office of the Turkish president told RIA Novosti.
During his visit to Turkey on October 30, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will get acquainted with Turkish initiatives aimed at the possible resumption of negotiations between the delegations of Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul, a Turkish diplomatic source told RIA Novosti.
"The issue of the Ukrainian settlement is one of the main issues on Turkey's foreign policy agenda."
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan personally oversees this issue, including in negotiations with Western leaders. Today (Monday, ed.) this topic was discussed with Great Britain Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
