Russia is grateful to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan for providing a platform for negotiations with Ukraine in 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"As for the negotiations with Ukraine, I have already spoken about it many times, we are grateful to the President of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who provided us with a platform for negotiations at the time. During this negotiation process, at the end of 2022, we came up with a possible document: with the draft of the peace treaty. The Ukrainian delegation initialed it, which meant they were satisfied, and then simply refused," Putin said at the press conference following the BRICS summit.
