Vladimir Putin signed a decree with Russian citizenship awarded American Tara Rid to the assistant US President Joe Biden in the Senate.
"The following persons awarded Russian citizenship: McCab Alexandra Tara, born on February 26, 1964 in the United States," the decree said.
Reid is known for his former Senator Biden accuses sexual harassment. He himself calls his accusations false. In April 2023, when the president of that time declared his candidacy, the American woman and her family began to receive threats about the consequences. He later moved to Russia, also afraid of the interview with the prosecution, which is under US sanctions.
