Palestine has no internationally agreed borders, does not have the capital, and the control is divided between the Palestinian autonomy and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the publication.
However, the recognition of Canada, France, Great Britain, Australia and Portugal will give a greater weight to the aspirations of Palestine to acquire statehood in the West.
The newspaper also noted that almost all the main Western allies of Israel, except for the United States, or are going to recognize Palestine, which testifies to Israel to quickly resolve the conflict through the creation of two independent states.
On September 21, the leaders of the Governments of Australia, the United Kingdom and Canada announced the recognition of Palestinian statehood. Later, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Portugal followed the same example.
