The Islamic Republic of Iran supports any process, which leads to termination of clashes, reducing tensions and the creation of stability. The statement came from Iranian government spokesman Fatima Mohaperan.
"Of course, this support is conditional and based on the principles agreed by regional countries," Mohaperan wrote.
He stressed the three unshakable principles of Tehran, maintaining the full sovereignty of the countries towards their territories, the resolute resistance to any change in international borders, adding that these principles have been taken into account in the last joint statement of Baku and Yerevan.
Moherani stressed that one of the key changes was to cancel the controversial program of the Zangezur corridor.
"According to the parties, the issue of" corridor "was removed from the agenda and was replaced by the full sovereignty of Armenia," he said, calling this change "positive and reasonable", as it guarantees the sovereignty and allows economic cooperation.
