It is planned to build a new garbage processing plant in Yerevan to close the 70-year-old Nubarashen landfill. This is the official comment of the Yerevan Municipality.
Environmentalist Silva Adamyan is suspicious of the municipality's plan, as different types of garbage are not separated in Nubarashen landfill.
"The processing itself passes through several stages and preparing the factory is not so easy. First of all, a strategic plan must be written to understand how much garbage content is, how much is the size, how much will it increase every year? Everything must be done, they may have done, I don't know.
As different types of garbage are not separated in Nubarashen landfill, they are filled with all kinds and years, everything is there. I tend to think that it will be difficult to get another garbage from garbage, there is no variety, and they have been involved in decades, and I am inclined to think that it will burn, "Adamyan said.
Environmentalists have not yet been transferred to the fact that there are currently a garbage increase in the volume of increasing volume, such as volumes, and the ability of a new processing plant to process that amount of garbage processing.
Siva Adamyan is not familiar with any documents, "everything is a big question for us, because we have not seen a document in any study and how they are going to do it. If all this is taken into account when building the plant, we hope we will soon be released from such a dangerous landfill. It can take a long time for 5-6 years of cleaning processes will go, but we need to know the volumes. This is the problem. In general, of course, the processing plant we need and no one. There are many landfills in Armenia that are in a very bad condition, and it is not only in Yerevan, the landfills of Abovyan are Gyumri. So the problem of the processing plant on Armenia will not be resolved, it is connected with more costs. "
It's no secret that when burning any chemical waste, the particles of whose particles apply to the air and cause a negative impact on human health, especially on the body, and on the environment.
Puppologist Arpine Chobanyan notes: "Large particles and medium-sized diameters can be stored through special cells in the nasal mucous membranes, but they will definitely go through the lungs and are accumulating there. Of course, the more the contact with these materials is, the more likely it will cause certain diseases or exacerbations in the respiratory system that has already existed in that person. It is especially important to emphasize the Bronchial Astma, which can be answered with the compression of bronchils on any ponant. Naturally, the amount of air in compressed bronchi decreases and brings respiratory dissatisfaction in case of severe exacerbations.
The second important circumstance is a lung cancer. What is the second? Because for lung cancer, it has to have a longer history of cigarette smoke risk in our region and any other thing, including chemical waste, and so on, they will bring them to the disease sooner. Unfortunately, the main cases related to lung cancer are found quite late, in the 3rd, 4th Stadia, when we have less expectations from drug treatment. "
According to Takaban, the appeal of patients with the problem of Astma and Chronic cough has unequivocally increased.
"The only option is less left here, which is naturally very difficult in this way, it takes a breathcomer to leave, because it does not keep the usual surgical mask. It is a big question to which it is a matter of how real respiratory activities. The main advice remains, low ventilation and not to be unnecessarily out of the house, "said the pulmonologist.
In addition to people, animals are also considered to be fed in the landfill. For example, stray animals, cats, dogs, rats, whose quantity are large, birds, storks, who can not only damage their health, but also to spread infections.
Lately, many trees have changed in the city. Oaks, the breads, whose array of which absorbed a large amount of dust. All this has a great impact on the city environment.
According to the Government Decision on August 14, it is planned to fully modernize the air quality monitoring system, installing 14 immovable and 2 portable observations, as well as modernize chemical laboratories to measure organic pollutants.
However, people continue to breathe toxic air for about 1 week and responsible for its consequences.
