The Venezuelan government has expressed its condolences and solidarity over the devastating floods in the United States, Texas and New Mexico states.
"Venezuela expresses its deepest condolences and solidarity to the peoples of the United States, particularly Texas and New Mexico, who have suffered the devastating floods of the last days," the statement said.
On July 4, the US National Meteorological Service announced on social networks that a state of emergency was declared in several cities in the Currician County of Texas due to floods.
According to CNN, more than half a million people in the region are in danger of flood. Texas Governor Greg Abbott has said that the state uses all available resources, including the National Guard to fight against devastating flood. The NBC said that the number of flood victims in Texas has reached 104.
