"We have had useful negotiations with Lebanese President Joseph Aun and are satisfied with the response to peace.
This response corresponds to our expectations, within the framework of which we are taking mediation steps, "said the American diplomat.
According to him, the United States will "continue to develop a peace plan that will demand to enter into a dialogue."
"Israel wants peace to Lebanon, but the challenge for us remains how to achieve it," Barack said.
The American diplomat claimed that the United States did not dictate to Lebanon what should do about Shiite "Hezbollah" movement.
"The decision belongs to the Lebanese people who need to put aside their disagreements and use the opportunity to make their country again," he said.
