Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is holding talks to Moscow on Thursday with Laos Foreign Minister Tongsavanh Fomveane, RIA Novosti correspondent reports.
At the beginning of the meeting, Lavrov noted that Fomvihane, who currently holds the post of Foreign Minister, has a great diplomatic experience that will be important for the development of relations between Laos and Russia.
"As a graduate of our general university (MGIMO-ed.), You know the history, culture and language of our country very well. And I have no doubt that you will ensure the continuation of the future progressive development of our strategic partnership, "Lavrov said, starting the meeting.
According to Lavrov, they will discuss the situation in the region, international politics, cooperation within the Eurasian continent and Asian.
