The rapprochement between the two countries started with large-scale concessions by Pashinyan. Recognition of Karabakh as part of Azerbaijan, refusing territorial claims to its neighbors and removing the issue of genocide from the agenda means that there are no more obstacles to the normalization of relations between Armenia and Turkey.
However, Ankara has a precondition. First of all, a peace agreement should be signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Erdogan's government has repeatedly stated that Armenia must first sign a peace agreement with Azerbaijan, and only then can it talk about normalization of relations.
The problem of Armenian diplomacy is now separating these two processes from each other. The results of Pashinyan's and Erdogan meeting will show whether Turkey is ready for it.
