The announcements said that Israel would not provide consular services and called the citizens to cooperate with local security services if they encounter hostile activities.
No deadline for embassies has been closed. The person who responded to the telephone of the Berlin embassy did not provide additional details, and the Israeli Foreign Ministry did not immediately respond to the comment.
The Israelis were encouraged abroad to fill out a form to inform the Ministry of Foreign Affairs about their location. This was also done on October 7, 2023 after the attacks on Israel on Israel, to coordinate reserve returns and to organize rescue flights.
"In the light of recent developments, the Israeli embassies around the world will be closed, and consular services will not be provided," the statement said.
