Syrian Interim President Ahmed Al-Sharaan will visit the United States, Siria TV reports.
It is noted that al-Sharaa will also perform at the UN session. This is the first speech of the Syrian president over the last 60 years.
The Syrian interim government was formed on December 9, 2024 after the fall of the Bashar al-Assad regime. On January 29, 2025, the People's Council, the highest legislature, was officially dissolved, and the transitional government announced the election of the Temporary Legislative Council. On March 29, 2025, the first transition government has completed its work and replaced by the second transition government. The Prime Minister's position was eliminated, and the government headed the Syrian President.
