The telephone conversation between US President Donald Trump and China's People's Republic of China may be held in the coming week, the director of the National Economic Council of the White House.
"We expect President Tramphone to hold an important discussion with President Si this week on commercial talks. This is our expectation, "he said in an interview with ABC News.
Haset stressed that it cannot confirm that the conversation is not planned at the moment.
"You can never be sure of international relations, but my expectation is that both sides expressed their readiness to speak," he said.
