The US Food and Drug Department (FDA) has confirmed the use of the new Covid-19 vaccine of the Moderna Biotechnology Company, the company reports.
"Moderna, Inc. stated that FDA has confirmed the new MnExSpike (MRNA-1283) to use the 65-year-old and high adults," the company said in a statement posted on the company's website.
Moderna adds that the vaccine can also be used by people aged 12-64 who have at least one or more major risk factors identified by the US Disease Control and Prevention Center (CDC).
The vaccine is designed for people who have been vaccinated against the virus before.
