Orban explained why Hungary against Ukraine's accelerated EU membership

Hungary opposes the EU's accelerated membership in Ukraine, as it will open a new "Eastern Front", said Hungarian Prime Minister Victor Orban.

"We don't need a new eastern front, so we don't need Ukraine's membership in the European Union," Orban said at the Conservative Political Conference in Budapest (CPAC).

He noted that Hungary has its own "patriotic program" to reorganize the European Union, unlike liberal, which involves increasing military spending and strengthening the control of member states from Brussels.

"We want sovereignty, we do not want common taxes, we do not want common borrowing, we do not want to have a centralized management of the economy and we don't want our money to go to the Third Earth war," Orban said.

The Hungarian government and other European conservative leaders would also like to protect Europe from illegal migration, strengthen public security and traditional Christian values.

The Prime Minister of Hungary noted that conservative politicians in the national elections are required to implement the program, followed by the "victorious battle in Brussels."
