The new Tata Electronics factory in the south of India has started production of iPhones, and the new Foxconn plant will be delivered in Bengalur in May, Reuters reports.
Apple seeks to reduce China's dependence on the background of Trump's Tariff Pressure, and by 2026 plans to produce most of the iPhones for the United States in India. Foxconn's factory, which will be fully functional until December 2027, plans to create about 50,000 jobs.
Martin Tata and Foxconn together exported 600 tons of iPhones to US $ 2 billion, setting a new record. China is currently providing more than 75% of the world iPhone production, while the Indian department is about 18%.
