The damage caused to Spain from large electricity shutdown is most likely to be about one billion euros, writes the PAIS newspaper, citing the preliminary data of analysts.
According to the publication, if the whole work was paralyzed in Spain for one day, the damage could reach 4.5 billion euros.
However, according to PAIS, given the shutdown in some areas, it took several hours to solve the problem, "everything shows that damage will be significantly less" than the maximum amount specified.
"There are actions that are stopped, but there are also those who can resume in the future," Manuel Idalgon, a professor at the University of Sevilia, said, and the damage will not exceed millisen euros.
