The Ukrainian court sentenced former President Viktor Yanukovych to 15 years in prison and to organize an illegal transportation of the state border, the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine reports.
Together with him, the head of the head of the Secretary of the Secretary of Ukraine-Ukrainian Security Service was sentenced to the same accusation. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
"Prosecutors have proved that the former president of Ukraine on February 23, 2014, with the former presidential security minister, has illegally crossed Ukraine's state border and organized the transfer of at least 20 people and HAGO servicemen," the statement said.
