The death toll from the bomb blast near the port of Shahid Rajah, Bandar Able in the Iranian state, has reached 46, said Mehrdad Hasanzade, head of the governor's emergency management department.
Earlier, the Iranian authorities and the media reported 40 victims and more than 1241 wounded.
"The death toll from the explosion in Shahid Rajah has reached 46," Mehr agency quotes Hasanzade.
A powerful explosion rocked the port of Shahid Rajah, Bandar in Abbas on Saturday. Iranian government spokesman Fatemeh Mohajerani told Fars that it happened in the warehouse of chemicals, but it is difficult to say exactly what the reason is.
