The death toll from a bomb blast near the southern Iranian port has 700, according to Iranian Tasnim, citing the country's medical services.
"More than seven hundred people have been injured," the agency said in a statement.
A powerful explosion rocked Bandar in the port of Bandar in Abbas Saturday. According to the media, the explosion took place at the dock due to the fire in the fuel tank.
According to another Iranian state agency, Fars, the blast was so strong that it was heard on the island of Keshim, about 20 kilometers away from Bandar.
The Iranian Interior Ministry has instructed to investigate.
