The deputies of the legislative meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Speaker (Parliament) of the Speaker of the Speaker of the Australian Province of Victoria have made statements on the Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day.
MP Kim Wales stated. "This statement is aimed at accepting the Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day. This year marks the 110th anniversary of Armenians, Greeks and Assyrians, which started on April 24, 1915. The wonderful Armenian community is a vital part of our state.
Many Armenian families live in the Rovyl constituency and near the regions, enriching our community with their history, culture and confrontation. I am happy to attend regular events in the Armenian community because their culture continues to inspire me. Their traditions, the strong feeling of unity and the unwavering devotion to the past reflect the spirit of endurance victims of the Armenian people.
Ambassador of the Legislative Assembly of the Special Assembly of the Australian Province of Victoria has called for recognition of the Armenian Genocide Remembrance Day, which commemorates the 110th anniversary of one of the worst horrors of mankind. "About 1.5 million Armenians, 500,000 Assyrians and 3,50000 Greeks were persecuted and killed from April 24, 1923," the MP said.
