Iraqi Prime Minister Mohamed al-Sudan sent an official invitation to Syrian crossing President Ahmed al-Sharaa to attend the May 17 meeting of the Arab leaders in Baghdad. The head of the Iraqi government stated this during his speech in Suleymania.
"I sent an invitation to Syrian President Al-Sharaa to take part in the Arab summit to be held in Baghdad," As-Sumaria TV channels quoted the Prime Minister as saying.
According to Al-Sudani, the upcoming summit "confirms the return of Iraq to the regional and international political field."
