The Turkish opposition has stated that he has received more than 10 million signatures, in defense of the release of Imamoglu, a prison mayor. This was stated by the leader of the main opposition People's Republican People's Party, the rally in Samsun, Halk TV reports.
"The number of signatures in the favor of holding snap elections on Saturday evening exceeded 10 million, but we have a greater purpose, and we will strive to achieve it together," his words quoted the TV channel.
The presidential elections in Turkey are planned in 2028, but the opposition demands snap elections.
