Hezbollah fired about 90 shells at Israel in 24 hours, IDF said

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) recorded about 90 shells fired by the Shiite Hezbollah movement into Israel over the past 24 hours, the army's press service reported on Monday.

“At 17.00 (coinciding with Moscow time), about 90 shells were fired by the terrorist organization Hezbollah today (Monday, October 14) from Lebanon into Israel,” the report said.

Since October 1, Israel has been conducting a ground operation against Hezbollah forces in southern Lebanon and continues aerial bombardment of the neighboring country, where more than 2.3 thousand people have already died, including leaders of the Shiite movement, and more than a million people have become refugees. Despite losses, including in the command staff, Hezbollah is conducting ground battles and does not stop rocket attacks on Israeli territory.

The main goal of the military campaign in Israel is to create conditions for the return of 60 thousand residents of the north who were evacuated due to the shelling launched by Hezbollah a year ago in support of the Palestinian movement Hamas.
