Earlier, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin stated that Serbia is considering joining BRICS as a real alternative to joining the EU.

"The time of hegemony of Washington and Brussels is passing. The countries choose the path of equal dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation based on the interests of the people, not the US and its supporters," Volodin wrote in his Telegram.

According to the speaker of the State Duma, Serbia considers joining BRICS as an alternative to the European Union, as it does not see the EU as a partner.
