During his working visit to Strasbourg, the RA NA Speaker Ale Simonyan met with the President of the Council of Europe Speakers of the Council of Europe Yael Brown-Pille.

In a conversation with his counterpart, Alen Simonyan thanked France for its continued support to Armenia, noting that the efforts made by France to establish peace in our region also appreciates Armenia.
In his turn, Janel Brown-Piven reaffirmed the aspirations of Armenia's peace and democratic reforms to the unconditional support of France.
The parties also touched upon the Armenian-French relations, inter-parliamentary cooperation and regional developments.
The RA NA President reaffirmed the decisive position of the Armenian side to sign the recent agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the French counterpart's attention to the issue of Armenians held in Azerbaijan.
