Ukraine will receive an additional loan from Canada in the amount of $290.5 million


Ukraine will receive an additional loan from Canada in the amount of 400 million Canadian dollars ($290.5 million). This was reported on the website of the Ukrainian Ministry of Finance. “Today, October 11, the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergei Marchenko signed the fourth additional agreement with the Government of Canada for an additional loan in the amount of 400 million Canadian dollars,” the text says.

It is provided for a period of 10 years, the interest rate is 1.5% per annum. The grace period is 4.5 years from the date of receipt of funds. As Marchenko noted in this regard, “Canada is one of the leaders in supporting Ukraine; direct budget support since February 2022 has amounted to more than $5 billion.”
