After the court session, the 2nd President of RA Robert Kocharyan said about the reopened case against him that what is happening is legal hooliganism.
According to the former president, if this court session continues, the lawyers will submit a petition for the judge's recusal.
As for the course of the case, the president mentioned that if the judge has enough courage, he will simply shorten the case.
"There is simply no legal solution to this situation," he said.
"Today there is no accusation, there is no article. In my impression, in this state, this case was simply thrown into the "pocket" of the Court of First Instance, there is simply no legal solution to this situation," added Robert Kocharyan.
Let's remind that 3 years after the acquittal in the Anti-Corruption Court, the criminal case against the 2nd President of the Republic of Armenia Robert Kocharyan, former CSTO Secretary Yuri Khachaturov, former Deputy Prime Minister Armen Grigoryan and former Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan is being reopened and is being examined. The Court of Cassation overruled Judge Anna Danibekyan's decision to terminate the case of Robert Kocharyan, Yuri Khachaturov, Seyran Ohanyan and Armen Gevorgyan.
