Lavrov ruled out the possibility of compromising in Ukraine

Russia does not see a compromise on deployment of foreign "peacekeepers" in Ukraine, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"We do not see any compromise on this discussion. Obviously hostile," Lavrov said at a press conference with Zimbabwe's Foreign Minister Amon Murvira.

According to the Russian minister, if a foreign military group in Ukraine is deployed, Western countries will not want to reach an agreement on peaceful settlement, as this contingent will create "factual facts".

The Telegraph newspaper, citing British government sources, said on January 16 that the leaders of the United Kingdom and France are secretly discussing the joint sending of "peacekeeping forces" to Ukraine.
