Kallas complained about the change in US behavior after talks with Russia

The head of the EU Diplomacy Kaya Callas commented on the last vote on the UN resolution on Ukraine, the behavior of the US authorities was changed after meeting with Russian officials.

Earlier, the UN General Assembly adopted two resolutions on Ukraine, which were prepared by Western countries and proposed by the United States. 93 voted for the first side, 18 and abstained from 65 abstained. In particular, Russia, the United States, Belarus, Hungary, Israel, North Korea and Nicaragua were opposed to it.

Among the supportors of the document, in addition to EU countries, there have been Turkey and Serbia, including Argentina, Armenia, Brazil, China, Kuba, India, Iran, Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia.

The American version also supported 93 UN members, and eight voted against, 73 abstained.

According to Callas, who gave an interview to CBS, the United States has changed its position on the resolution "unexpectedly".
