China is ready to resolve trade issues with the United States through dialogue

Beijing expresses its readiness to solve trade and economic problems with Washington through consultations. The official representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs He Yadun said this at a briefing about the readiness of US President Donald Trump to sign a new commercial deal with China.

"The Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China is in touch with our American counterparts," he said.

Earlier, Donald Trump expressed confidence in the possibility of concluding a new trading deal with China and said that Chinese President Xi Jimin could visit the United States.

On February 1, Trump signed an executive order on defending customs duties on goods from Canada, China and Mexico.

The 10% customs duties on China have been entered on February 4, and the definition of customs duties for Canadian and Mexican has been postponed for a month due to negotiations with those countries.
