French President Emanuel Macro left the United States in vain, as he has not received clear answers to the American security guarantees of Ukraine. This was reported by Politico, citing EU officials and diplomats.
According to the source of the publication, Makron said that the American leadership did not promise to "Backstop", so strategic ambiguity is maintained in this issue.
"Despite Makron's failed visit, the EU continues to hope for US support, which may include intelligence actions, anti-aircraft and technical assistance to military transport," the article reads.
