US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced the arrival of F-15E fighter jets from a US airbase in the Middle East. In early October, Air & Space Forces Magazine, citing unnamed US officials, reported that the US would send additional air force forces to the Middle East amid escalation between Israel and the Lebanese Hezbollah movement. It was noted that the United States will send three additional squadrons of fighters and attack aircraft, consisting of F-16, F-15E and A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft."US Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle fighters... from an air base in Idaho arrive in area of responsibility of the US Central Command," the command wrote on its social network account.
Since October 1, Israel has been conducting a ground operation against Hezbollah forces in southern Lebanon and continues aerial bombardment of the neighboring country, where more than a thousand people have already died, including leaders of the Shiite movement, and more than 90 thousand have become refugees.
