Kellogg believes that Moscow and Kiev should talk directly to each other

Keith Kellogg, the US presidential envoy for Russia and Ukraine, believes that Moscow and Kiev should talk directly to each other about resolving the conflict.

“They have to. And both sides have to give up something,” Kellogg told ARD.

“It is clear to us that the three parties - Russia, the United States and Ukraine, especially the conflicting parties - the Russians and the Ukrainians - need to sit down and talk,” he said. Kellogg also believes that the discussion can take place in stages.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump had a telephone conversation on February 12. The leaders of the Russian Federation and the US discussed the cessation of hostilities in Ukraine, bilateral relations and a number of other issues.

Later, Trump also had a telephone conversation with Vladimir Zelensky.
