A 29-year-old citizen of Uzbekistan has been arrested in connection with the murder of the head of the Radiological, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov and his assistant, reports the Public Relations Center of the FSB of Russia, TASS reports.

"As a result of operative searches carried out jointly with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, the FSB found and arrested a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan born in 1995, who set off the improvised explosive device. near the residential building on Ryazansky Avenue in Moscow, as a result of which the head of the Russian Armed Forces, lieutenant general Kirilov born in 1970, assistant Polikarpov born in 1983 was killed," TASS reports.

The arrested person was transferred to the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation. The newspaper reports that "the author of the terrorist attack said that he was recruited by the Ukrainian special services" and was promised a reward for the murder.
