Aliyev spoke about France supplying arms to Armenia

France's supply of offensive weapons to Armenia poses a real threat to Azerbaijan, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev stated in an interview to VGTRK and RIA Novosti.

"The weapons that Macron's government supplies to Armenia are offensive, deadly weapons that pose a practical threat to Azerbaijan," he said.

According to him, Azerbaijan has repeatedly called on Baku and Washington to stop the militarization of Armenia.

"We have repeatedly informed Armenia and its sponsors that this should be stopped, but, unfortunately, they did not listen to us. The process of arming Armenia is progressing by leaps and bounds.

In June, the head of the French Ministry of Defense, Sebastien Lecornu, said that Armenia signed an agreement with France for the purchase of French CAESAR self-propelled artillery systems, which Paris supplied to Kyiv.
