Singer Parastu Ahmadi was arrested in Iran for performing without a hijab during an online concert, along with four other musicians, reports ABC News. Now the girl faces the death penalty.

Ahmadi's speech quickly went viral on YouTube and became one of the most talked about topics in Iran, as local laws prohibit women from singing or appearing in public without a hijab.
According to the TV channel, the performer was arrested and a criminal case was initiated against him "for not meeting legal and cultural standards".
