US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken made an unannounced visit to Iraq to meet with Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani for talks on the future of neighboring Syria.
The high-ranking American official noted that what is happening in Syria has an important impact on the region, and it is important that both the countries of the region and not only them make efforts to help the Syrian people to get out of the current situation.
He noted that Washington will not allow the IS terrorist group to return to Iraq.
