The South Korean president's approval rating dropped to 11 percent


South Korean President Yun Seok-yeol's approval rating dropped to 11% after imposing martial law on the night of December 3-4, according to the results of a public opinion poll conducted by Gallup Korea. 1002 people over the age of 18 took part in the survey, which was conducted on December 10-12.

11% of them assessed the president's work positively, 85% negatively, 4% had difficulty answering. The 11% figure is the lowest since Yun Seok-yeol's inauguration in May 2022. The most popular reason (49%) among those who rated the president's performance negatively (49%).

Among the reasons, economic problems are in the second place, which was answered by 8% of the respondents.
